Exciting times ahead!

Sorry we haven't posted lately, but it's been a very busy couple of weeks and we've mostly stayed at home. Our human, Ann, is finishing up her university studies, so we've been quiet and good while she works.

Our cousin, Annie, has been staying at our house while she waited for her forever home. Well, last week she finally found her forever home with her new human, Jen, and I think she'll be very, very happy forever, like we are with Ann.

Here is a photo of Annie and I doing a bit of shopping with Ann to get some of Annie's favourite foods to take to her new forever home.

In other news, we'll have a fantastic blog post in a couple of days as we're going on a very, very special trip. Ann is taking us for a ride and a special first class lunch on a real life steam train! Keep your eyes peeled for the post about our adventure.

Just Another Park Play Sunday

We had a quiet weekend this week. Yesterday (Saturday) we decided to spend the day at home and we didn't take any pictures, so there isn't anything to show of that. Today, though, Ann decided we'd spent enough time indoors and took us to the park down the road. I always love going to the park and playing on the swings.

See how I'm big enough to swing all by myself? Well... Almost by myself.

You barely need any help at all, sis. After Shimmer had her turn on the swing, it was mine. I wanted to use the backless swing, but Ann says it's far safer for us to take turns on the smaller swing since it has a back and a safety chain so that we don't fall off.

After I'd played on the swing, I decided to have a play on the monkey bars while Shimmer hunted for acorns. Ann had to boost me up so I could reach the bars, but after that I was able to make my way across all by myself.

While I was looking for acorns, I fell down but it was okay. I landed on the soft tan bark and was able to pick myself up and just had to brush my clothes off. I didn't even get dirty, but my nose was a little sore for a few minutes, so Ann gave me a big cuddle.

After Shimmer had her cuddle and I'd had enough of the monkey bars, we decided to play on the ride on motorbike together. It's more fun to share it than it is to ride alone, I think.

I think so too.

After we'd imagined going racing around the whole world together, it was time to climb Mount Slide. Sable, you weren't very good at waiting for me to climb with you.

I waited at the top didn't I?

At the very top of Mount Slide was a huge cliff. We were just going to sit on the edge and watch the view from the top of the world, but a dragon flew past and we had to slide down the edge of the cliff super fast to escape.

After the dragon had flown away, I tried to climb back up, but it was too slippery. So Ann said it was time to start hiking home.

On the hike back to our castle (Did we tell you we live in a castle? Well, it's a magic castle, so it looks like a normal house to everyone else, but it's still a castle.), we stopped at the river to look for ducks, but we didn't see any this time.

It was a really, really good way to spend the afternoon. Then when we got home, it was time for our dinner, a bath each and a story before bed. Oh, and writing this blog post of course. Good night everyone!

We'll see you next weekend. Maybe we can do a post about our morning routine then.

Our first post in our NEW blog!

Hi there! Welcome to our new blog. Isn't this cool? Our human friend, Ann, finally decided that we can have our own blog! So I'd better start by introducing myself and my big brother. I'm Shimmer and I'm eight months old in human terms (that's about seven years in teddy bear time). I like rainbows, the colours purple and pink and singing. I also really like wearing pretty or cute clothes and I hate getting dirty.

And I'm Sable. I'm nearly two years old in human terms, which is about twelve teddy bear years. I like purple too, but I like blues, greens and a bit of red too. Like my human best friend, I love archery and I also like climbing trees, reading books and playing on Ann's 3DS or Nintendo Switch when I'm allowed too. I also really, really love to explore and unlike my silly little sister, I don't mind getting messy - though I'm not really fond of bathes!

You're such a boy, Sable. And I'm not silly, just because I don't like to smell like the cat's litter box before it's changed. Anyway, we wanted to start this blog because we love to go on adventures with Ann and see new places. And we wanted a place where we could share our adventures with the world! So far I've seen England (where I was born before Ann adopted me) and we've both seen the Australian states of Victoria (where we live), New South Wales and Canberra (where we saw the Prime Minister, but only from a distance).

This is Ann's favourite photo of the two of us, on a beach in New South Wales. I was worried I'd mess up my new dress, but Sable promised to look after me and he did a great job.

Well, this is my favourite photo. Remember, Shimmer? You didn't think you could climb up those rocks to sit on the sea wall, but I told you I'd help you. And it turned out you could do it. The view was so worth the climb, don't you think?

It really was. I was scared we'd fall into the sea, but you held onto me and made me feel really safe. Best big brother ever. Climbing in that old tree that the bush rangers were chained to while they waited to be taken to Sydney for sentencing was super cool and a bit spooky too.

But that's enough of old adventures. This post was meant just to introduce us and it's past your bedtime, Shimmer.

Aww.

Sorry, but it's true. You're going to be super tired in the morning. Come on, I'll tuck you in. Good night everyone!
